Three models of EtherCAT Couplers are available. The EC01 and EC02 are designed for use with Q-series modules, while the EC03 is intended for use with NXE modules. Modules connected to the right side of the EC01 occupy EtherCAT nodes, making it suitable for EtherCAT masters with no node number limitations. In contrast, expansion modules connected to the EC02 and EC03 do not consume EtherCAT node resources, making these couplers ideal for use with masters that have EtherCAT node number restrictions.
